Holy Cross Church Pavur Celebrates Rosary Month

This year the month October, traditionally known as Rosary month was very special for our Parish, Holy Cross Church, Pavur especially as we are in the preparation for the centenary celebration of the Parish.
The month started with Solemn Sung Mass at 9am in the nearby AC (Apostolic Carmel) Convent as it was also the feast of St. Theresa of Child Jesus. Every Monday to Friday at 5.30pm there was Rosary service in the church and on Friday it was followed by Mass. Every Saturday the Rosary service & Mass at 8.30am to make it convenient for school going children & Legion of Mary members; and on Sundays the recitation of the Rosary was according to the wards in their place.
          On the feast day, on 7th, we had Mass in the evening followed by candle procession around the church upto the Grotto of Our Lady reciting the Rosary.
          The Conclusion of the Rosary Month on 31st was solemnised with:
·        Mass in evening at ‘Kurushada gutte’ (hillock around the Cross) a few furlongs away from the church
·        Procession to the Church with lighted candles reciting  Rosary & final blessing
